General information

The Choir of the University of Agriculture in Krakow was established in December 2003, at the younger Agricultural University in Krakow. The originators and promoters of the team's activities are prof. dr hab. Eng. Kazimierz Wiech and Dr. Adam Świderski. From the very beginning of the choir, she has been a member of her alma mater and the promotion of the university outside of it. To promote the University of Agriculture, the choir gives concerts, taking part in competitions and festivals in the country and abroad. He has performed in Macedonia (Skopje 2006 and Ohrid 2011), Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Italy. He was honored at the Days of Choral Music in Knurów in 2009, the International Festival East-West-Close-Up Radomsko 2006 and the Festival Spiritual Bridges Ponia Lwów 2007 and Krynica 2010. Then in June 2009 the choir together with the orchestra of the Contemporary Music Club "Malwa" took part in of the "Way of St. Paul" project.

In 2006, the choir recorded its first album entitled "Where you hear singing, enter there" with various choral music, and a year later, together with the choirs of the Jagiellonian University and the University of John Paul II, he participates in the recording of the album "Song of the Katyn Family" with music by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, which was released in November 2008 by of EMI.

Since the beginning of the Choir's existence, its supervisor from the office of the Senate of the University of Warsaw has been prof. dr hab. Kazimierz Wiech and its conductor is Joanna Gutowska-Kuźmicz.
